So I said I’d upload everything in a week and then I suddenly disappeared for 4 months, nothing unusual.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who donated, thanks to the donations the site will be running for one more year.

Continuing on the “file hosting crisis”, FileServe went back to only allowing downloads of your own files, RapidShare limits free users downloads to 30 KB/s on files over 30 MegaBytes.

So,

FileServe = dead

RapidShare = nearly useless

My decision: for now I’ll keep RapidShare, FileServe will be replaced by MediaFire, which has a file size limit of 200MB so I’ll host files over 200MB on the server although the server only has 7GB of space free, but should be enough for now.

As you can guess, if you can donate a few dollars they will be welcome.

So, it seems FileServe came back, my old account was still deleted/banned. So I made a new account and I am uploading the CGs, will see how it goes.

MegaUpload mirror will be replaced with rapidshare, mediafire max. file size is 200MB and some rips are bigger than that.

For now that’s the best I can do.

Thanks to my really slow upload speed ( 1 Mbit/s) it’ll take me around 1 week to get all the CGs up.

FileServe went the way of the dodo, deleted my account as far as I understand.

Great, now I have no mirror for the downloads.

From possible alternatives, FileSonic did the same as FileServe (mass deleting of files/accounts and only downloading of own files allowed) as did UploadStation and FileJungle (and probably others).

So…RapidShare? MediaFire? Although I believe both of them will delete files a bit too quick for my taste…

Oh wise visitors of this website, give me ideas…or money, could use money for a VPS with enough space for the CGs, LOL

I’m tempted to just post a youtube video of “America, Fuck Yeah!” song from the film “Team America: World Police”, but I won’t, at least not for now…

So, as many of you might be aware, MegaUpload was shut down by American authorities (cue start “America, Fuck Yeah!”).

So, one less mirror on this site (the best one, in my opinion). That’s bad.

Then, a couple of hours ago, I noticed that FileServe removed their affiliate page and any mention of earnings on the site. That’s shitty. I only used them because they paid, they weren’t the worst host, but certainly not the best either, the money made it even.

So, now one of the mirrors went M.I.A., the other stopped paying…might as well go back to using Rapidshare.

Give me a couple of days/weeks to “study” possible courses of action, as I feel this shut down of MegaUpload will have widespread consequences to the world of file hosting sites and I want to wait a bit to see what happens before I choose a new host.
